Scratch Fundamentals

Show that you can do all of the following – in one completely new project:

  1. Create two sprites, one must have 3 different costumes that you designed yourself. The other one can have one or two costumes.
  2. Have a Green Flag status that makes the sprite with 3 costumes go to a certain point.
  3. Program the one with 3 costumes to be moved by the arrow keys.
  4. Program that same sprite to change its costume when clicked.
  5. Have at least two different backdrops.
  6. Make a sprite say or think something when the backdrop changes.
  7. Use at least one Broadcast and let two sprites catch it, that is: do something when they receive it.
  8. Use a variable to track scores OR Use a variable to track lives.
  9. Use Wait – Until
  10. Share the project you created to show these skills.

The Scratch Intermediate Badges

The Scratch Advanced Badge

… is available to those who have all four Intermediate badges AND have created a project that follows the following guidelines, as evaluated by Sabine:

  1. All your own graphics, of an advanced standard.
  2. A unique idea. (Animation, Tutorial, Platformer…)
  3. Is a new project, separate from any created for one of the Intermediate Badges.
  4. Shows coding of an advanced standard.
  5. Works.
  6. Is shared.
